The Southen Field Days is a major agricultural event that is held every two years at Waimumu, near Gore in Southland, New Zealand. On show over three days, during February 2012 will be the latest in rual technology, equipment and ideas from around the world. Drawing increasingly large crowds and with most leading rural businesses exhibiting, participating in this significant event is now regarded as essential if you have a product or service with a farming component. If you are involved in farming, in any way, then this event should be in your diary, so keep the 15th-17th February 2012 free!
The Southern Field days is a non profit Incorporated Society, run by volunteers, except the secretary, who are all farmers or work in the agricultural field. Where ever possible other non profit groups within the local community such as clubs, schools, PTSs etc are used to help set up and run the events, which is an important fundraiser for them and benefiting the local area. Please visit us regularly as there will be many website updates between now and next February, we look forward to seeing you in 2012.
There are several events that exhibitors and the general public can get involved with.
